2008 report card
It’s that time again. Time to pull up the ‘08 resolutions and begin to feel really, really guilty for losing that spark as the months passed by. I was pretty optimistic last year, when I wrote up my 8 Resolutions for ‘08. Let’s see how I did…
1. take better pictures. I started by getting this book. D- // Misplaced my camera between March and August. I would give myself an F, but it’s not entirely my fault.
2. be a better aunt. do more video chats. make more visits. C+ // I was home for 3 weeks this year, up 15 days from last year.
3. get really good at inDesign and photoshop. C // I got better, but not “really good”.
4. sell my car, learn how to use public transportation. A+ // I’m a regular on the 1.
5. leave the country on 3 separate occasions. A+ // This year’s travels led me to Thailand, South America, and Spain.
6. be crafty. send more snail mail. D // I only managed to send out Christmas cards this year, and they weren’t so crafty.
7. refresh my italian and become conversationally fluent. D // Oops.
8. take a class and learn something new– interior design, cooking, urban planning, or ice skating. B // I’m getting better at cooking, I trained to be a GMAT instructor, and I bought a Sociology Textbook.
using red text for everything makes it look like you did a bad job. nice work, good luck on your goals for next year
