The Red Cross led this earthquake preparedness campaign in San Francisco. I can see my office in the second picture, which scares the crap out of me.
I’ve done quite a bit of research on earth quakes; and most recently came across a very interesting FAQ from the Berkeley Seismological Lab (hideous site, useful answers). I even emailed them through their “Ask a Geologist” program and am eagerly awaiting their reply. In the meantime, I urge you to read through this to prepare for the real thing.
